Mrs Chew's Chinese Kitchen

Food came straight away no need for a wait. The food came hot and fresh. The flavors make you feel wonderful. The atmosphere is nice.

I visited Mrs. Chew's Kitchen on Wednesday, and it was really good. The food was exceptional, full of rich flavours and comforting warmth, but what made the experience even more special was the service. I am not quite sure but I think her name was Ko Ko; her attentive service and that beautiful smile of hers made the evening feel almost magical. I will definitely come back, not only for the wonderful dishes, but because seeing her again is a joy I genuinely look forward to.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. What truly made the visit exceptional was our waiter, Joblu. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the entire evening. He made sure we had everything we needed, offered great recommendations, and checked in at just the right times without being intrusive. His positive attitude and excellent service really elevated the whole experience. I highly recommend this restaurant, and if you get the chance, ask for Joblu — you won’t be disappointed!

Thoroughly enjoyed their chilli wontons and Roasted duck with rice. Note the duck is served with bone, so even though it is delicious, if you’re not used to bone with your meat, then order something else.

Very nice food, excellent service and nice atmosphere.. the staff are very helpful. We enjoy everything we ate .Dam Dam noodle is very good. Kung PO chicken is very tasty…

I was really impressed with the food at Mrs Chew’s Chinese Kitchen at New Street, Birmingham. We ordered Chicken Xiao Long Bao – it was the starter I enjoyed the most. We also had Chicken Mushroom Bao (forgot to take a photo), Sichuan Chilli Oil Wontons and Dan Dan Noodles made with fresh spinach noodles. The noodles were spicy, but the spinach gave them a refreshing flavour – the combination of heat and freshness was amazing. We also ordered Roast Duck on Rice – it was top-notch! The service was friendly, cheerful, and attentive, and everything was served promptly. Thank you to Shaju and the team. It was an unforgettable experience, and I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to visiting again.

Would highly recommend! I always order the roast duck soup noodles, so hearty and filling. Great portion size too. Also highly recommend the prawn dumplings and char siew bao for starters. The service is great as well and the staff are welcoming and friendly.

Food: I was really impressed with the food at Mrs Chew’s Chinese Kitchen. The Kung Pao Chicken was absolutely delicious – full of flavour with just the right level of spice. I also tried the iced tea which was really refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. There’s a great variety of dishes on the menu, so there’s definitely something for everyone. The cherry on top is that everything on the menu is Halal! Service: The customer service was friendly and efficient. Staff were helpful and everything was served promptly, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Atmosphere: Located in Grand Central, the restaurant has a modern and relaxed vibe. It’s a convenient spot whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a proper meal. Clean, comfortable, and well-organised. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again!
